We rebuilt an entire college’s website and raised enrollment.

Client: Walsh College

 

Walsh College, a Michigan college with a strong focus on business, wasn’t turning visitors into students. They came to us for a new campaign, brand refresh and website redesign. 

With over 600 pages of content, we couldn’t simply blow up the site and start from scratch to build a new one. Our team needed to find a way to re-skin the site and create an entirely new user experience while keeping all of the existing content intact. After stakeholder interviews with clients and students, we realized it was the professors, students, and staff who really mattered to potential students, so we redesigned the new user experience to focus on a more inviting, personal feeling. We added videos of professors and students to the homepage and simplified the the navigation to get people to where they needed to be faster. We also created a new style guide and content management system to cover every part of the site – from colors, to fonts, to layouts, and all the way down to the buttons.

Results

The college saw a dramatic increase in enrollment
Undergraduate enrollment performed at 115% to budget
New graduate student enrollment performed at 114% to budget
9% increase in session duration
12% decrease in bounce rate.
